Love Your DoorStep is Enfield's largest community platform with over 23,000 + local members and growing daily. Recently awarded the National Award for Community Platform of the year in the FSB & Worldpay Awards.
Love Your DoorStep was the idea of founder Emma Rigby and was born off the back of the London riots in 2011. Emma wanted to bring back community to the area after these horrendous events so created a Facebook group designed to be a place local people could share information about ‘what’s going on’ and ‘where to find things’ locally. It has today, 7 years developed into not only a Facebook group but an informative website giving more and more local people access to all the wonderful things available in the borough in one place from events, to jobs, to local news. Love Your DoorStep has naturally evolved into the perfect platform to bring together businesses and individuals with an interest in supporting each other through job opportunities, charitable causes, networking, business referrals and genuine recommendations, all working together to build a deepened sense of community spirit and belonging. Local businesses get to promote their product but also become genuinely involved in the community, and the community gets to support independent businesses whilst also keeping money local.
Our belief is that what makes Love Your DoorStep truly special and unique is that it's a ‘real time’ service where people can communicate 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The forum is manned by experienced community managers who work continually to make it a helpful, friendly, safe and supportive environment for all. The platform allows people to discuss important issues in their area, talk in a way they’ve never done before to a group of people they may not have had access to in their day to day life. It encourages everyone to work together to build stronger community links and support systems and that can only be a good thing!
