Gnocchi Night
6:30 — 8:30pm - Tuesday, 10 June 2025
Venue: Potter’s Pantry
4 Potters Road,
Barnet,
EN5 5HW,
UK,
Join us for a relaxed and joy-filled evening of hands-on cooking and communal dining as we gather to make homemade potato gnocchi from scratch — just like my mum taught me.
We’ll start the evening with a complimentary glass of Prosecco to welcome you in and set the tone for a delicious night ahead. Then we’ll roll up our sleeves and learn how to make light, pillowy gnocchi from simple ingredients. I’ll guide you through every step — from choosing the right potatoes to shaping the perfect little dumplings.
Once we’ve cooked up a batch, we’ll sit down together to enjoy our handmade gnocchi, served with a fresh tomato and basil sauce that lets the flavour of the pasta shine.
Expect flour-dusted hands, good conversation, and a beautiful sense of togetherness around the table.
A Bit of Gnocchi History
Gnocchi (pronounced nyo-kee) has ancient roots in Italy — some say even predating pasta. These soft, comforting dumplings have been made for generations in Italian kitchens, with each region (and family!) putting their own spin on the recipe. For me, gnocchi always brings back memories of being in the kitchen with my mum, learning by her side, flour all over the place, and lots of laughter.
