Abe Gibson - Bliss, Melancholy & dancing without moving - Enfield Poets Literary Festival
4 — 5pm - Saturday, 18 October 2025
Venue: Forty Hall
Forty Hill,
London,
EN2 9HA,
England,
To capture moments, instances
Using words…. Has always seemed like
Permitting Thoughtful photos.. or paintings to evolve
Of my inner being
It has become a way for me to treasure
Observations, and interactions!
… performance, or conversation has been a way to share them
While studying this craft
And reality… I have come to embrace
The very human predisposition
and discipline
Of embellishing or stripping away
information
To hone a particular perspective
… learning cadences and nuances
Like brush strokes or a palette knife;
When sharing
However there has always remained
A delicate uncomplicated potency ,
When staying as close to the truth as possible
Or a precious childlike freedom
When we allow our imagination to create
An alternate world
In this performance,
I would like to share some the most
Intimate, humorous and
Imaginative episodes that I have
Witnessed , taken part in
or imagined
