HLTA/Cover Supervisor Science Full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days pay point 26-29 – actual salary £28,226 - £30,688pa Required from September 2024, Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our Science department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff. At Ashmole Academy, an equal number of students study either separate or combined science at GCSE. More than two thirds of our Separate Science students achieve at least a Grade 7, and approximately 15% achieve a Grade 9. The Science Department is committed to fostering a curiosity in our students for science in the world around us. Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis. The role of HLTA is an excellent opportunity to inspire and motivate young people throughout their secondary education. The successful candidate may have a Science related degree; will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role. This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.
