Following the outbreak of COVID-19 all types of violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, intensified. This was the shadow pandemic growing amidst the COVID-19 crisis and it needed a collective effort to stop it.
Two organisations in Enfield, Enfield Saheli and the Enfield Women's Centre are doing great work in this field. In 2021 Love Your Doorstep Community CIC created the Love Is Kind campaign to draw attention to the issue and the great work being done by these two wonderful organisations.
The campaign encouraged women to purchase a Love Is Kind t-shirt and post a picture of themselves wearing it on Social Media to raise funds for the two local charities and more importantly to draw attention to the issue to the widest possible audience.
